Accident Insurance Payoff

As I pulled my car into hospital emergency parking lot to visit my son my heart began to race…he just had a scooter accident and had concussion symptoms. I was scared and worried about his condition and also about how I was going to afford the visit since I have a high deductible ($3,000) HSA plan. Then I remembered I had an accident plan that would cover all but $100 of the Emergency Room visit, what a “financial relief”! As my son was rolled into the CT Scan, I was grateful that I had purchased accident insurance on my entire family for only $420 annually. It was our 4th trip to the emergency room over the last 5 years! We are just a average active family of 4 involved in all types of sports.

Everybody knows Health Insurance premiums are too high, especially on the Cadillac plans. Most Americans are struggling to afford a high deductible plan in this economy, which leaves a huge financial gap for accidents.

I recommend Accident Insurance for anyone who is active and is underinsured or uninsured, but make sure you purchase a plan that pays up to a certain benefit level, not a scheduled plan that pays a certain amount per injury based on the injury.
